We combine ancient Chinese methods with ultra modern technology to provide you with an effective, safe and painless way to reduce stress and break the addictions which stress leads to. We do this by using a non-invasive, safe, and relaxing laser treatment for quitting smoking/vaping (quitting nicotine) and for creating a general relaxed feeling of well-being.
Clients find the sessions extremely relaxing. Some people may feel slightly light-headed or a slight tingle on certain of the acupuncture points during the treatment as the treatment spurs the body to release its natural “feel-good” chemicals.
This treatment significantly reduces, sometimes completely eliminating, physical cravings so you can get through the withdrawal phase with greater ease and confidence. Due to the release of these chemicals, we also have a treatment for stress reduction, leaving clients relaxed and with a general sense of well-being.
Clients often feel the difference as soon as they leave our office. The difference can be strong or subtle. Our smoking cessation clients notice their “need” to smoke isn’t there. And, if a thought to smoke comes over them, the urge is more of a thought than a physical craving. They trust that within 30 seconds to a few minutes, the feeling will pass. In addition, depending on what’s going on with the client, we bring in techniques from mindfulness, needs based relating, and parts work. We share with clients a basic understanding of how our body and brain uses routine for survival so they can understand what’s going on as they begin their new non-smoking journey and work to stay smoke-free.
Knowing that what brings so many smokers back to smoking is stress/anger/anxiety/boredom (SAAB), we talk about how smoking really creates the SAAB even though it doesn’t seem that way. In doing this, we address relapse from day one. We do this not to scare the client, but for the opposite reason — so that the client can acknowledge relapse and feel safe and not afraid of it.
